This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and collects nothing about you. That is a claim the code has to support, so what follows is specific about what the site does rather than reassuring about what it intends.

No collection

There is no server-side code here, no database, no accounts, no logins, and no comment system. The site is a set of static files. Nothing on it asks who you are, and there is no store to put an answer in.

No cookies. The site sets none — not for preferences, not for sessions, not for measurement. Nothing is written to browser storage either.

No analytics, no advertising, no telemetry. There is no measurement script, no tag manager, no tracking pixel, and no beacon. Nothing counts your visit.

No forms. There is nothing on this site to submit. The browser’s own content policy for the site blocks form submissions to any other domain outright.

Third-party requests

Almost everything the site loads comes from this domain: the stylesheets, the scripts, the images, the icons, and the map libraries used by the dashboard. Type is set in your device’s own system fonts, so no font is fetched from anyone. The site embeds no videos, no frames, and no social widgets, and its content policy blocks background connections to other domains.

There is one exception, and it is a real one. Pages that contain a technical diagram fetch the library that draws it from a public code distribution network (cdn.jsdelivr.net); that request would reveal your IP address and browser to its operator. The script that would fetch it checks the page first and does nothing when there is no diagram present. As of the date above, no published page on this site contains one, so in practice the request is not currently made on any page.

The Quiet Corners dashboard

Quiet Corners is a data dashboard with sliders, filters and a map. All of it runs in your browser.

The county data is fetched from this domain as ordinary files. Every slider, filter and score you interact with is computed locally against data already downloaded. Nothing you do on that page is transmitted anywhere — no selections, no filter settings, no map positions, and no map tiles, because the map is drawn from local geometry rather than a tile service. The same is true of the smaller interactive demos elsewhere on the site.

Hosting

The site is served as static files by Cloudflare Pages. Like any web server, that host necessarily processes the technical data required to deliver a page to you — your IP address, the request, and your browser’s user-agent string. That processing is the host’s, under its own privacy terms, and this site neither receives that data nor keeps any log of its own.

Links to other sites — including GitHub, X, and Back Road Creative — are ordinary links. Once you follow one, that site’s own privacy practices apply, and this policy stops covering you. Following a link is the only way this site lets any other party know you were here.

Your data

There is none to speak of. Because nothing is collected, there is nothing to export, correct, or delete, and no request you would need to make to have that done. If you would like to reach a person about this page, contact.

To report a security issue, please use the private route described on the contact page rather than a public issue.

Changes

If this site ever starts measuring traffic or loading something new from another party, this page changes in the same commit that adds it, and the review date above moves. The commit history of this page is public in the repository.
